The system comes with a built in database system that keeps a record of every book in the library, as well as those that are checked out, enabling an efficient, integrated library management system.
Handy Scanna Emitting Waves
As new books come into the library, each one is affixed with a unique RFID tag with an individual ID number that corresponds to the book. Older books are similarly tagged.
RFID Book Checkout
Each tagged book can be located using a Handy ScannaT, which will be available at multiple points in the library. Handy ScannasT are readers that identify each book based on its unique tag, and send this information back to the central database. This provides up to date, real time information about book locations in the library, instead of having to manually search for books.
This allows easy inventory management, quicker re shelving and less manual effort in searching for a book.
